| The rugged design of Canplas/ GSR drains coupled with the excellent weathering characteristics of PVC has resulted in a drain that can withstand the roughest treatment during construction and in service - year after year. The roof drain bodies feature large sumps to assist in efficient drainage. The combined flashing collar and gravel stop are securely fastened to the body with four stainless steel bolts for extra clamping force to retain the roof membrane in place. The domes can also be fastened onto the collar with vandal-proof screws. The PVC bodies are not only totally inert to all roof deck and roofing materials, but also weigh less than one-fifth that of cast-iron roof drains, thus facilitating transportation, handling and installation. These advantages are available at cost savings over conventional cast-iron, aluminum alloy and copper roof drains. |

Installation Details |
| Light weight GSR roof drains can be easily adapted to various types of roofs and finishes. With approved connections, GSR PVC roof drains can also be used with any other piping system - ABS, cast iron, ductile iron, galvanized or copper. The recommended deck opening for the 2", 3" and 4" sizes is 9 1/4 " to 10" and for the 6" and 8" sizes is 14 1/4 " to 15". The diagrams below illustrate possible installations with various roofing systems. | |
